Application

XHHW-2 cable are primarily used in conduit or recognized raceways for services, feeders, and branch circuit wiring as specified in the National Electric Code;
XHHW-2 cable is suitable for various commercial and industrial applications. These cables can be installed in wet or dry locations, indoors or outdoors, in raceways, underground ducts , aerial or direct buried.
XHHW-2 cable is NEC - compliant for continuous operations at 90° C in wet and dry locations,130° C for emergency overload conditions and 250° C for short circuit conditions.

Construction
XHHW-2 aluminum cable are AA-8000 series Aluminum Alloy, compact stranded. Insulation is an abrasion, moisture and heat resistant black cross-linked polyethylene. Cable sizes AWG 2 and larger listed and marked sunlight resistant in black only.

Specification

Cable XHHW-2 suitable for operation at 600 V or less in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90℃.Cable shall be annealed AA8000 Aluminum Alloy as manufactured .

XHHW-2 meets and exceeds all construction requirements of ICEAS-95-658(NEMA WC 70) Non-shielded 0-2kV Cable.
